JamStack is World’s First Attachable Guitar Amplifier

JamStack is the world’s first guitar amplifier to attach to the base of any standard electric guitar. This means that you’re up and running in seconds and aren’t bound by cables or power outlets. JamStack has been fully funded on Indiegogo. You can preorder JamStack via Indiegogo for $199.

The JamStack is made up of three pieces of equipment: Speaker system, smartphone mount, and patch cables. All of which are built to last. Weighing under 2lbs., the JamStack can fit easily into most guitar or travel cases and lasts for over 8 hours. The JamStack also acts as a fully functional portable Bluetooth speaker.

You need a JamStack if…

  • You want to be able to play the electric guitar anywhere, anytime
  • You find set-up time limits how often you can play, and stunts your inspiration
  • You hate the sound of turning down traditional amplifiers
  • You enjoy playing along to backing tracks
  • You want any effect pedal, loop station, and recording studio all at your fingertips
  • You’re already in the market for an ultra-premium Bluetooth speaker

The rechargeable battery in JamStack will get you 8 hours of solid play time. JamStack mounts on practically every standard guitar electric guitar body. What about acoustic guitars? JamStack can be plugged into anything outputting a 1/4” patch cable, but will not mount on an acoustic guitar due to its width.

Fender Releases Limited Edition Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster

Fender Musical Instruments announced the release of its newest addition to the Artist Signature Series: the Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster; it honors the late and great rock icon, whose persona and legacy is not only synonymous with the Fender Stratocastser, but also also rock ‘n’ roll at large.

Jimi Hendrix took the world by storm with his incredible 1967 Monterey Pop Festival performance, which he concluded with the sacrificial burning of his now-iconic, hand-painted Stratocaster. First revealed at Summer NAMM 2017 in Nashville, Tenn., and available only for the remainder of this year, the new limited edition Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster celebrates the 50th anniversary of this milestone in music history.

The Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster, priced at $899.99, captures all of the energy of his unforgettable set-ending finale at the Monterey International Pop Festival in 1967. An homage to the spectacular performance that literally burned its way into our pop culture conscience, the Jimi Hendrix Monterrey Stratocaster faithfully replicates his hand-painted psychedelic artwork on the body of the guitar. A trio of vintage-style single-coil Stratocaster pickups gives this ’60s-style, Fiesta Red Strat its classic Fender sound.

Bell-like and articulate, it has plenty of singing sustain for soloing. The “C”-shaped maple neck bears a vintage-style 7.35” radius pau ferro fingerboard with 21 vintage-sized frets for a playing feel just like the original. The six-screw synchronized tremelo is perfect for unleashing dive-bombs and other sonic expressions. Fully authorized, the Stratocaster features an exclusive etched Authentic Hendrix neck plate.

Zoom LiveTrak L-12 Is an All-In-One Mixer and Recorder

Zoom LiveTrak L12Recording a multitrack live session, monitoring that session, and mixing it usually requires a bunch of different pieces of gear to get the job done. That’s certainly nothing new and it’s not even that bad if you’ve got a dedicated studio space available when you need it. But it’s not always possible to get access to that perfect combination of dedicated recording space stocked with the right equipment. In those cases, clever producers rely on creative improvisations that might be good enough. But it never hurts, especially in these instances, to be able to simplify things as much as possible.

That’s where the new Zoom LiveTrak L-12 comes in:

With the LiveTrak L-12, you can finally mix, record, and monitor with a single piece of gear. It’s the only digital console that lets you mix your live performance and record up to 12 discrete channels – all while providing five individual custom headphone mixes.

Some highlights of the LiveTrak L-12:

  • 12 discrete channels (eight mono plus two stereo)
  • 3-band mid-parametric EQ and 16 built-in send effects for each channel
  • Mono channels have dedicated compressors
  • 12-segment LED metering
  • 5 monitor outputs provide unique mixes, so every performer can create and save a mix that’s tailored to their preferences
  • Save up to nine different scenes and recall custom settings automatically
  • Use the built-in slate mic to record comments or talk-back
  • Program the built-in metronome to your desired tempo
  • 14-in/4-out USB audio interface with flexible routing options

The Zoom LiveTrak L-12 is available for preorder now and retails for $599. The device is expected to ship next month.

In recent decades, certain hardware compressors have stood head and shoulders above the rest, becoming invaluable assets to countless producers around the world. Two such pieces of gear are the Fairchild 660 and Fairchild 670 compressors. These units are known for bringing warmth and vibrancy to any final mix that passes thru them. Get a Free Line 6 Relay G10T Wireless Transmitter with Spider V Purchase

Line 6 LogoYou’ve put in the hours and hours of rehearsal time. You’ve dealt with all the drudgeries of booking the gigs. When it’s time to finally get up on stage and show the world what you’ve got, you don’t want to be tied to an instrument cable trailing off behind you.

Live musicians have relied on wireless transmitters to give them complete freedom on stage for years. The concept is pretty simple. Players connect a small cable to a transmitter pack, usually clipped onto a guitar strap, and that transmitter carries the instrument’s signal to a receiver that runs it thru an amplifier and then on to the rest of the house.

And while the concept may indeed be simple, the process of making a wireless transmitter reliable and usable is no easy task. That’s where Line 6 came in with its Relay G10T wireless system. Unlike traditional systems that require a transmitter pack, the Relay G10T is a single piece of kit that connects directly to an instrument’s input jack, no cable required.

Guitarists who’ve already purchased one of Line 6’s newest amplifiers, the Spider V, can take advantage of a limited-time opportunity to pick up a Relay G10T transmitter for free. This offer is open to U.S. customers only, and some restrictions apply. This promotion ends on July 31, 2017.

Build Your Own Waves Plugin Bundle for a Limited Time

Waves LogoAudio production plugins. Sometimes, they come in ones and twos. Sometimes, they come preloaded with your digital audio workstation. And other times, they come in bundles. These plugin bundles can be a handy way to get more bang for your plugin buck, as plugin developers will often offer a discount on bundled purchases.

Usually, these bundles are pre-made by plugin developers. So, if you only want one or two plugins from a specific bundle, you’ve still gotta buy the whole pack. Renowned plugin maker Waves is breaking that mold, if only temporarily, by holding a special build-your-own-bundle sale, featuring many of the company’s popular audio processing tools.

The sale works like this: You pay full price for the first plugin you buy, then you get 25% off the second plugin, 30% off the third, fourth, and fifth plugins, and 40% off the sixth plugin and beyond.

Waves boasts that this sale contains more than 180 plugins, which is way too much to try and list here. Just a few of the plugins included in this sale:

  • CLA-2A Compressor/Limiter
  • SoundShifter
  • Bass Rider
  • Codex Wavetable Synth
  • NS1 Noise Suppressor
  • L2 Ultramaximizer
  • IR1 Convolution Reverb
  • OneKnob Filter
  • NLS Non-Linear Summer

The Waves build-your-own-bundle sale is on for a limited time. Be sure to check the fine print, as some restrictions apply.

HOFA System 1.5 Available Now

HOFA System 1.5 logoIf you’re into audio production (and we’re guessing that if you follow this blog, you probably are), then you love plugins. And the only thing better than the plugins you have now, is getting more plugins. Because then, you have more plugins. And as we covered above, you’re an audio producer. Who loves plugins.

The engineers at Germany’s HOFA software company understand this need for MOAR PLUGINS. That’s why they developed a plugin system called… System. Now, you know how plugins work. You add them one at a time to your tracks and then twiddle their various knobs and sliders for days at a time. And that works fine. But HOFA looked at that and thought, “Hey, Dawg. We heard you like plugins so we put more plugins in your plugins.” HOFA System itself is a plugin but it’s made up of a whole series of effects and processors that run inside System, thus giving you a plugin that’s essentially made up of other plugins.

HOFA began previewing System last year and plugin lovers cursed that they’d have to wait for an official release. But the wait is over, as System 1.5 is now officially on the street.

HOFA is offering introductory pricing for System 1.5 at $59.99 euros. This initial price point expires August 31, 2017.
