Gretch Introduced G6136T Rich Robinson Signature Magpie with Bisgby

Gretch is proud to honor the immensely talented Rich Robinson with the all-new G6136T Rich Robinson Signature Magpie with Bisgby.

Rich Robinson has been at the forefront of rock ‘n’ roll for nearly three decades, ever since his high school days when he co-founded The Black Crowes. Heralded as one of the best live rock acts, The Black Crowes went on to sell over 35 million albums and churn out several charting singles including “Hard to Handle” and “She Talks to Angels,” which Robinson wrote the music for at the tender age of 15. Robinson continued to forge his indelible music legacy as the founder and guitarist for the Magpie Salute, whose 2018 studio album debut High Water I earned instant critical acclaim, while also reuniting with his brother Chris for The Black Crowes Shake Your Money Maker 30th anniversary tour in 2021.

Summoning the light and dark of thundering tones, the G6136T Rich Robinson Signature Magpie with Bigsby pays homage to an artist who commands the utmost respect.

A veritable hollow body cannon, this signature Falcon-style guitar features a highly resonant 3-ply maple body with solid spruce top and 1959-style trestle bracing with a spruce block under the bridge, and oversized F-holes for explosive sonic projection and maximum feedback control. A 12”-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium frets and mother of pearl Neo-Classic inlays tops off a maple neck for playability as impressive as its style.

A TV Jones® Classic humbucking bridge pickup provides pristine highs and stout lows with balanced harmonics, while a Broad’Tron™ BT65 neck pickup drives the guitar’s unique voice with a robust and punchy midrange and an uncommonly smooth high-end. The control layout— separate bridge and neck volume knobs, three-way position toggle switch, master tone and master volume with treble bleed circuit—allows for infinite tonal variations.

The G6136T is the epitome of style with a Raven’s Breast Blue gloss lacquer finish, silver pickguard adorned with Magpie logo, silver sparkle body and neck binding and nickel hardware.

Gretch Announced Two All-New Guitars

Gretch announced the all-new G6128T Players Edition Jet DS With Bigsby and the all-new G2215-P90 Streamliner Junior Jet Club.

For over 65 years the Gretch Jet has fueled stages and studios producing some of the greatest sounds in rock ‘n’ roll history. The G6128T Players Edition Jet DS With Bigsby is the culmination of over half a century of tonal and performance magic.

The G6128T Jet DS begins with a select mahogany body with maple top that produces the signature strong, punchy response that has made the Jet famous. For this model, Gretch chose a 1.85” depth along with vintage chambering to complement the chambered body to produce amplified bright, shimmering highs and a defined, rich bass for distinct tone that cuts through the mix.

Responding to player needs for increased comfort, the G6138T features a lowered neck set that greatly improves fret-hand mobility while also giving the picking hand a closer approach, increasing comfort and accuracy. The new full-access rolled cutaway and tapered heel allows the free access frets without awkward pivoting or palm obstruction. This sleek design remains hidden, preserving a vintage aesthetic, a critical feature that is meant to be felt, not seen.

The G6T128T also comes equipped with additional Players Edition features that give total control of tone and performance, including no-load master tone pot with Squeezebox paper-in-oil capacitor, master volume with treble bleed circuit and individual pickup volume controls.

Designed for the working professional, the G6128T Players Edition Jet DS with Bigsby is available in Black, Dark Cherry Metallic, Lotus Ivory or Sahara Metallic, with nickel hardware. The Black and Dark Cherry Metallic finishes sport a silver pickguard, the Lotus Ivory comes with a charcoal grey pickguard, and the Sahara Metallic features a tortoise pickguard.

An exciting new addition to the Streamliner Collection, the G2215-P90 Streamline Junior Jet Club is a stylish workhorse that’s ready to brawl.

Powered by BroadTron, BT-2S bridge and P90 Soap Bar neck pickups, this Streamliner delivers tight lows with a throaty midrange that is harnessed and shaped by a master tone control, master volume control, and three-way pickup switching.

Bound nato bodies with stunning Mint Metallic, Sahara Metallic, and Single Barrel Stain finishes are complemented by effortless mahogany-stained necks that feature 12”-radius laurel fingerboards, elegant and pearloid Neo-Classic inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets.

The G2215-P90 also features an anchored compensated wrap-around bridge, gold Electro-style control knobs, cream pickguard and nickel hardware.

Gretch Introduced G5230T Nick 13 Signature Electromatic Tiger Jet

Gretch introduced the G5230T Nick 13 Signature Electromatic Tiger Jet with Bigsby.

As the guitarist and songwriter for California trio Tiger Army (celebrating a quarter century in 2021), Nick 13 seamlessly blends his eclectic influences — from the twang and slap of early rock ‘n’ roll and hillbilly country, to the dramatics of dark, Orbison-esque ballads or the raw energy of first wave ‘70s punk. Whether at the helm of Tiger Army or with his Americana solo pursuits, Nick 13 manages to be retro-sounding while still pushing into uncharted musical territory.

Gretsch honors the left-of-center icon with the all-new Gretsch G5230T Nick 13 Signature Electromatic® Tiger Jet™ with Bigsby®.

“While not my first instrument, it wasn’t until I got my first Gretsch many years ago that I really bonded with a guitar and felt like I’d found my sound — something deeply emotional but unique at the same time,” said Nick 13. “As time went on, I realized that many of my favorite records and artists utilized this sound, whether 1950s rockers like Duane Eddy or Eddie Cochran, George Harrison of The Beatles, or bands associated with the early punk movement like The Cramps and X. To be part of that lineage as a Gretsch artist with my own model means the world to me; I never wanted to play anything else.”

For nearly 70 years, the Gretsch Jet has been the hallmark sound for iconic players. Nick 13 puts his own stylistic spin on the classic instrument with dark and moody design elements including a sleek Black finish, white binding, cream pickup inserts, chrome hardware, distinctive pearloid TigerBat inlays, oxblood pickguard with TigerBat logo and matching truss rod cover with his signature.

Black Top Filter’Tron pickups amplify and accentuate the Jet’s chambered mahogany body and maple top to produce a wide, balanced and transparent tone. Together, the body and pickups thunder with full, responsive lows and mids with a high end that sparkles without spikes. A complement of individual pickup volume controls, master tone and master volume with treble bleed circuit provides intuitive control over pickup and tone settings. This unique signature instrument also features a lower set mahogany neck for effortless access and performance, 12”-radius laurel fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, Bigsby® B50 vibrato tailpiece and anchored Adjusto-Matic™ bridge.

“The tone of my Tiger Jet is expansive – one of my favorite things is the hollowed, enclosed chamber within the body,” said Nick 13. “You can’t see it, but it provides resonance that a completely solid body guitar couldn’t get, while still avoiding the feedback issues playing a hollow body with higher gain normally creates. It’s the best of both worlds. Aesthetically, I love the handpicked color scheme and my favorite feature is the ’TigerBat’ fretboard inlays, which Tiger Army fans will recognize as the band’s logo.”

Available in a distinct Matte Black finish, the impressively affordable G2655TG-P90 Limited Edition Streamliner™ Center Block Jr. with Bigsby® and Gold Hardware is designed for three simple things—high gain-friendly performance, slick, easy playability and spectacular style.

A sleek double-cutaway music machine, the G2655TG-P90 delivers the perfect arsenal of fat P90 thump with Broad’Tron girth and grit.

The secret to the G2655TG-P90 sound is threefold—the P90 neck pickup, the Broad’Tron™ bridge pickup and the spruce center block. The single-coil P90 Soap Bar neck pickup spawns a brighter and more transparent tone than a traditional humbucker, yet retains a thick midrange for a unique, muscular tone while the BT-2S Broad’Tron™ bridge pickup punches through with clear yet driving mids and lows.

These pickups reproduce the open richness of a lightweight, chambered spruce center block that provides astounding tone while minimizing unwanted feedback.
