DPA Microphones is the leading Danish Professional Audio manufacturer of high quality condenser microphones and microphone solutions. They have introduced the d:vice Digital Audio Interface. It enables professionals to record flawless mobile audio.
Journalists around the world are already using their smartphones to capture the news. It works fairly well because today’s phones are capable of taking high-quality pictures and videos. The component that is missing is high-quality audio. For news broadcasts, it is equally important to have audio quality that matches or exceeds the video for the message to be understood. This is exactly the challenge that the d:vice solves.
The d:vice MMA-A Digital Audio Interface is a high-quality, dual channel microphone preamplifier and A/D converter that captures crystal-clear audio via your favorite recording / broadcasting apps.
When used with a DPA microphone, the d:vice is able to capture or stream audio in quality previously only available in the studio. When it’s not possible to have an experienced sound engineer on site, the d:vice can act as a “mini sound engineer in your pocket”.
The d:vice Digital Audio Interface is a pocket-sized, easy-to-use recording tool. Connect it to your iPhone, or other iOS gear, and up to two DPA microphones, and you’re well on your way to capturing best-in-class audio outside the recording studio. In addition to being used for journalism, the d:vice is also being used to capture amazing sound on all types of instruments.
DPA Microphones has bundled the d:vice into specialized kits to make it easier for you to choose the solution that best supports your needs. Each kit contains a d:vice MMA-A unit and its cables as well as the right microphone(s) for your situation packaged together with useful clips and accessories as well.
DPA Microphones introduced a 4-way d:screet microphone clip at NAB 2017. Popular among broadcast journalists, churches, television and film productions, DPA Microphones’ d:screet microphone series is perfect for any situation where you need a completely hidden microphone. DPA d:screet Lavalier Microphones deliver clear, clean and sonically pure sound in a wide range of applications.
Now, this versatile and durable microphone can be paired with the new SCM0013-B 4-way clip. The new 4-way clip offers fast and secure mounting – upwards, downwards, left and right – and has multiple cable management mounting options. The clip offers three points for cable attachment, providing the user with the flexibility they need to move around.
The holder is used with omnidirectional microphones that pick up sound perfectly, no matter which direction the microphone is placed in. The rear cable controls run behind clothes and minimize the mic’s visual appearance.
The clip is available in black, only. It does not fit d:screet Heavy Duty mics. If you need a clip for a Heavy Duty, choose the SCM001 Miniature Microphone Clip for Heavy Duty Microphones.
The SCM0013 4-way Clip fits the following microphones:
DPA Microphones will showcase its GSM 4000 Gooseneck Shock Mount Accessory and MMP-G Modular Active Cable for MicroDot at NAB 2017. These accessories create a completely wireless microphone setup, while maintaining high-quality audio during live and recorded broadcasts.
The GSM4000 Gooseneck Shock Mount Accessory is designed with an elegant clip at its end where the d:dicate capsule can be easily mounted with a preamp connected to it. It features integrated shock mount technology to ensure the perfect sound is achieved and not affected by handling noise. The GSM4000, which is available in black and is 11.5 cm (4.5 in) long, can be set up in a variety of different positions.
The MMP-G Modular Active Cable is an ultra-transparent preamplifier with active drive for impedance balancing to reject frequency interference. It permits the modular d:dicate capsules, including the d:dicate 4017 Shotgun Capsule or 4018 Supercardiod Capsule for booming applications, to connect to wireless systems with its fixed with MicroDot connector.
Available in two variations, the MMP-GR cable extends from the rear while the MMP-GS cable extends from the side. In addition, users have the option to use the new MMP-G Modular Active Cable for wireless workflows or the existing MMP-E Modular Active Cable for wired productions.
