Vixen Mixer is on Kickstarter

The Vixen Mixer is a Volca-sized mixer for Korg Volcas, small synths, and external fx. It includes multiple power options and a unique hub for powering Volcas. The Vixen Mixer is made by KVgear, and is on Kickstarter. At the time I am writing this, the Kickstarter has 27 days to go.

KVgear was founded in 2013 with the initial goal of developing accessories to be used with Korg Volca synths. KVgear is run by Mike Rafferty who has been a mechanical engineer for 30 years with the past 20 in new product development for a wide range of clients.

The Vixen Mixer is described as “the mixer that Volca lovers have been wanting for years.” It has 8 channels, panning, mutes, 2 aux sends/returns, and onboard power for 8 Volcas. It can be powered by batteries or the included AC power adapter.

The images of the Vixen Mixer on the Kickstarter are of the special limited edition blue version. They are all gone, and that specific Kickstarter reward is not longer available. The standard version will be in black.

The Vixen Mixer can be powered from any of three sources: external AC-DC power supply included with each mixer; internal battery compartment for 6 AA batteries; or high capacity, rechargeable external 9 VDC battery attached to the power input jack on the Vixen.
