Shotoku USA Will Showcase Smart Solutions at NAB 2018

SHOTOKU USA will focus on robotics at NAB 2018. They will feature their Enhanced ECI Automation Interface an their Shotoko “Smart” Solutions.

Shotoku will showcase a significantly enhanced version of their External Control Automation Interface (ECI), incorporating powerful new features that add a layer of intuitiveness and functionality for the flagship TR-XT Touch Control System. Building on the TR-XT’s advanced features, including pre-set shot recall functionality, the unit now supports full joystick trim control to adjust and restore the pre-sets as necessary, from the automation system or switcher itself.

Shotoko “Smart” Solutions includes the SmartPed Robotic Pedestal, SmartPedVR and SmartTrack. The SmartPed Robotic Pedestal is a fully robotic XY pedestal embraced by some of the world’s most prominent broadcasting organizations. SmartPed addressed the creative and commercial demands of on-air environments with a cost-efficient and high-performance solution.

SmartPed will be demonstrated for the first time ever at NAB 2018. The VR-enabled version of Shotoku’s widely popular Robotic Pedestal is now available with their well-proven and highly accurate built-in VR tracking system which allows SmartPed to be used in all VR or AR environments.

SmartTrack is a highly adaptable camera system. It supports floor or ceiling operation and a range of height column configurations, in both upright and inverted modes. SmartTrack combines the precision and flexibility of Shotoku control systems with a rail-based dolly and elevator column system to provide a unique perspective on any live, multi-camera studio production.
