Namba Gear brought their line of laptop and gear bags to SXSW, including their new Gear Wrap. It is a unique looking bag that is designed to protect a variety of sensitive audio gear. Gear Wrap bags are made of padded, hook and loop knit with a non-scratch nylon backing. These squares can be wrapped around audio devices, microphones, or anything else that will fit inside.
Namba Gear’s Japanese distributor, MI7, told the company that Gear Wraps are a perfect example of the Furoshiki Culture (which has been embraced for several hundred years in Japan). Furoshiki is a traditional cloth that is used to help achieve the 3R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Hook and loop tabs are on all four corners let you wrap and stick them in any shape. There are three sizes to choose from: 14”, 19”, and 25”. Gear Wrap can be wrapped around hard drives, headphones, audio interfaces, microphones, laptops, iPad or notebooks, control surfaces, DJ controllers, and more.
