Yamaha Introduces Two New Colors for CSF1M Guitars

Yamaha introduced two new color choices for the CSF1M acoustic-electric guitar: Crimson Red Burst, and Translucent Black.

“CSF is compact without compromise,” said Dave Miner, product marketing manager, Yamaha Guitar Group. “We reintroduced the series in 2018 because of interest in parlor-sized guitars and expanded the lineup last year with a TransAcoustic model. We hope these two new CSF1M finishes will help even more players to find a perfect fit for the sound and style they want, and for wherever they play.”

Special forward-shifted scalloped bracing enhances the resonance of the Yamaha CSF1M guitar’s solid Sitka spruce top, increasing bass response, while its mahogany back and sides impart a natural warmth and richness. Despite its compact size and shorter length, which some players find more comfortable to play than the larger instruments, the CSF1M has a surprisingly big and rich acoustic sound, with an undersaddle SRT piezo pickup for plugging in onstage or in the studio.

Combining the portability of a travel guitar with the focused tonal characteristics of a parlor guitar, the CSF1M is an ideal choice for both the road and the destination.

The Yamaha CSF1M models in Crimson Red Burst and Translucent Black (MSRP: $639.00) are now shipping.

Canon has introduced a software solution that allows select EOS Interchangeable Lens Cameras to function as high-quality USB webcams. As virtual meetings and gatherings become the new norm, you don’t want to be caught in the dark with a low-quality webcam.

Fortunately, the EOS Webcam Utility Beta software was unveiled by Canon U.S.A. Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, for select EOS Interchangeable Lens Cameras (ILC) and PowerShot cameras. Canon Introduces CINE-SERVO 25-250mm Cinema Lens

Canon U.S.A, a leader in digital imaging solution announced the CINE-SERVO 25-250mm T2.95-3.95 (CN10x25 IAS S), a new CINE-SERVO cinema lens designed for use with 4K cameras.

The new lens, which is available in both EF and PL mount, features 10x optical zoom, a built-in 1.5x extender and a powerful and removable servo motor drive unit, providing broadcast friendly shoulder operation for ENG/EFP and documentary style shooters. The lightweight design of the lens (6.7 lbs) is remarkable given the zoom range and feature set, especially when compared with other lenses of similar focal lengths. This outstanding model, as well as the Sumire Prime Lenses announced in 2019, have further strengthened Canon’s robust lineup of Cinema Lenses.

Similar to the existing award-winning 17-120mm and 50-1000mm lenses, the CINE-SERVO 25-250mm offers outstanding 4K optical performance thanks to its ultra-low dispersion glass and a large-diameter aspherical lens. Combined with Canon’s unique optical design technology, these components work to help correct color fringing and limit chromatic aberration during operation. The lens features Canon’s renowned warm color science and an 11-blade aperture that produces a beautiful, smooth bokeh.

The new lens is ideal for cameras with a Super 35mm sensor. While the 10x zoom covers a range of 25-250mm, the built-in extender stretches that range to an impressive 375mm with an added benefit of allowing for full-frame sensor coverage with only a stop of difference in light loss.

The servo unit included with the 25-250mm lens can be easily removed to allow for manual operation, and the gear pitch is compatible with standard cinema controls of zoom and focus. The EF mount version of the lens allows for the utilization of Canon’s proprietary Dual Pixel CMOS AF, which provides users with smooth AF operation and high-speed tracking performance, and the PL mount version supports Cookie/i Technology. In addition, like the 17-120mm, the 25-250mm lens also features a macro function to enable close-up shooting.

The Canon CINE-SERVO 25-250mm T2.95-3.95 (CN10x25 IAS S) is scheduled to be available in 2020 for an estimated retail price of $29,999.00. For more information, please visit

Sony Expands Remote Camera Line Up With Two New Compact Cameras

Sony introduced two new compact cameras – SRG-XP1 (POV) and SRG-XB25 (BOX) – that deliver high-quality images at 4K 60p alongside full IP connectivity, expanding its renowned remote camera line up.

With product availability starting in August 2020, users can select the wide-angle SRG-XP1 or the powerful optical zoom SRG-XB25, which offer new options for sites that are hard-to-access or where there is no space for a full sized camera and dedicated operator. The cameras are ideal for remote communication, monitoring and content production applications in a wide range of verticals such as corporate, education, healthcare, live broadcast and more.

Utilizing a single network cable, simple and cost-efficient set-up for power supply, image distribution and camera control is a reality with the SRG-XP1 and SRG-XB25, as they support full IP-based operation. Equipped with NDI|HX capability via optional license, both cameras offer unprecedented flexibility when working with other NDI-compatible hardware or software anywhere on the network. The cameras also support Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) and Real Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) for easy recording and distribution of video and audio.

The SRG-XP1 POV camera is capable of capturing video across a 100-degree wide horizontal viewing angle despite its compact, lightweight design. This is particularly useful for recording reality shows and in settings such as e-sports and remote meetings/discussions, where the entire location can be captured regardless of the installation position. On the other hand, the SRG-XB25 BOX camera is extremely useful for large spaces thanks to its powerful 25x optical zoom, capturing footage from a distance for events, lectures, seminars and faith applications.

With more than 20 years of technical expertise, Sony offers a range of remote cameras that are now widely used for remote teaching and communication purposes at universities and hospitals; for shooting and distributing content in government, corporate and faith-based facilities; and for remote production in event and broadcasting stations.
